Between Mitsubishi and Subaru, Japan has the market cornered on rally racing teams, but Mitsubishi has never been afraid of spreading its wings a little further in off-road racing by taking part in the Dakar Rally, which ran from western Europe all the way down west Africa (currently running from Europe to South America), with drivers covering hundreds of miles each day in the scorching heat and unpredictable desert terrain.
